युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
गवामयनयज्ञस्य फल प्राप्रोति मानव: । धर्म तत्राभिसंस्पृश्य वाजिमेधमवाप्रुयात्
gavāmayanayajñasya phalaṁ prāpnoti mānavaḥ | dharmaṁ tatrābhisaṁspṛśya vājimedham avāpnuyāt ||
A person attains the fruit of the Gavām-ayana sacrifice. By coming into contact there with dharma itself—by being touched and purified by righteousness—one may gain the merit comparable to that of an Aśvamedha (horse-sacrifice).

The verse teaches that sincere engagement with dharma in a sacred ritual context yields profound spiritual merit—so great that it is likened to the celebrated Aśvamedha—emphasizing ethical purity and righteous contact over mere external performance.
Ghūlastya is describing the religious efficacy of a renowned sacrificial observance (Gavāmayana), stating that a participant gains its fruit and, through contact with dharma there, can attain merit comparable to performing an Aśvamedha.
