ततो व्यासवनं गच्छेन्नियतो नियताशन: । मनोजवे नर: स्नात्वा गोसहस्रफलं लभेत्,तत्पश्चात् नियमपूर्वक रहते हुए मिताहारी होकर व्यासवनकी यात्रा करे। वहाँ मनोजवतीर्थमें स्नान करके मनुष्य सहस्र गोदानका फल पाता है
tato vyāsavanaṁ gacchen niyato niyatāśanaḥ | manojave naraḥ snātvā gosahasraphalaṁ labhet |
Thereafter, disciplined and restrained in diet, one should proceed to Vyāsa’s forest. Having bathed at the Manojava sacred ford, a person attains the merit equivalent to gifting a thousand cows—an instruction that links bodily restraint and pilgrimage with great ethical and ritual reward.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse teaches that disciplined conduct—especially restraint in food—combined with pilgrimage and sacred bathing yields great spiritual merit, here expressed as the equivalent of donating a thousand cows.
