लोकोद्धारं समासाद्य तीर्थ त्रैलोक्यपूजितम् । स्नात्वा तीर्थवरे राजँल्लोकानुद्धरते स्वकान्,धर्मज्ञ! तदनन्तर त्रिभुवनविख्यात लोकोद्धारतीर्थमें जाय, जो तीनों लोकोंमें पूजित है। वहाँ पूर्वकालमें सर्वशक्तिमान् भगवान् विष्णुने कितने ही लोकोंका उद्धार किया था। राजन! लोकोद्धारमें जाकर उस उत्तम तीर्थमें स्नान करनेसे मनुष्य आत्मीय जनोंका उद्धार करता है
lokoddhāraṃ samāsādya tīrthaṃ trailokya-pūjitam | snātvā tīrtha-vare rājan lokān uddharate svakān, dharmajña |
“O king, O knower of dharma: having reached the sacred ford called Lokoddhāra—revered throughout the three worlds—one who bathes in that foremost tīrtha uplifts (delivers) his own people. Thus, after going to the world-renowned Lokoddhāra-tīrtha, which is worshipped in all the three worlds, a person, by bathing there, becomes a cause of deliverance for his relatives and dependents.”
घुलस्त्य उवाच
Pilgrimage undertaken with dharmic intent—especially bathing at a highly revered tīrtha—generates purifying merit that can ‘uplift’ not only the pilgrim but also one’s own kin and dependents, emphasizing responsibility for others through righteous action.
A speaker addresses a king and recommends going to the famed Lokoddhāra-tīrtha, revered across the three worlds, stating that bathing there in the foremost sacred waters brings deliverance/uplift to one’s own people.
