तद्‌ दृष्टवा व्रीडितो राजन्‌ स मुनि: पादयोर्गत: । नान्यद्‌ देवात्‌ परं मेने रुद्रात्‌ परतरं महत्‌,महाराज! यह अद्भुत बात देखकर मुनि लज्जित हो महादेवजीके चरणोंमें पड़ गये और उन्होंने दूसरे किसी देवताको महादेवजीसे बढ़कर नहीं माननेका निश्चय किया

tad dṛṣṭvā vrīḍito rājan sa muniḥ pādayor gataḥ | nānyad devāt paraṃ mene rudrāt parataraṃ mahat ||

O King, seeing that wondrous event, the sage was overcome with shame and fell at the feet of Mahādeva. From that moment he became firmly convinced that no other deity is higher than Rudra, the great Lord—placing devotion above pride and acknowledging spiritual supremacy through humility.
