Transliteration

evamuktā tu vaidarbhyā sā devī bhīmam abravīt | duhituḥ tam abhiprāyam anvajānāt sa pārthivaḥ ||

Translation

Thus addressed, the queen of Vidarbha spoke to King Bhīma, conveying to him her daughter’s intention. Having understood the girl’s wish, the king gave his assent—showing the ethical weight placed on discerning and honoring a daughter’s considered choice within the bounds of royal duty.
