विमुक्तं सर्वपापेभ्य: सर्वरत्नसमन्वितम् । तदेव नगर श्रेष्ठ प्रशासतमरिंदमम्,“तुम्हारे पति सब प्रकारके पापजनित दुखोंसे मुक्त और सम्पूर्ण रत्नोंसे सम्पन्न होंगे। शत्रुदमन राजा नल फिर उसी श्रेष्ठ नगरका शासन करेंगे। वे शत्रुओंके लिये भयदायक और सुहृदोंके लिये शोकका नाश करनेवाले होंगे। कल्याणि! इस प्रकार सत्कुलमें उत्पन्न अपने पतिको तुम (नरेशके पदपर प्रतिष्ठित) देखोगी”
bṛhadaśva uvāca | vimuktaṃ sarvapāpebhyaḥ sarvaratnasamanvitam | tadeva nagaraśreṣṭha praśāsyatam ariṃdamam ||
Bṛhadaśva said: “Your husband will be freed from every sin-born affliction and will be endowed with all treasures. That foe-subduing king Nala will again rule that very best of cities. He will be a terror to enemies and a remover of sorrow for his well-wishers. O auspicious one, thus will you see your husband—born in a noble lineage—restored to royal station.”
बृहृदश्च उवाच
Even after moral and worldly downfall, a righteous person can be restored through purification from sin and steadfast endurance; true kingship is framed as protection of friends and firm resistance to enemies.
Bṛhadaśva consoles Damayantī by foretelling that Nala will be freed from sin-caused suffering, regain prosperity, and return to rule his foremost city as a powerful and benevolent king.
