द्रौपद्यास्तं परिकलेशं न क्षंस्येते त्वमर्षिणौ । वृष्णयो5थ महेष्वासा: पञ्चाला वा महौजस:,“अमर्षमें भरे हुए माद्रीकुमार द्रौपदीको दिये गये उस कष्टको कभी क्षमा नहीं करेंगे। महान् धनुर्धर वृष्णिवंशी, महातेजस्वी पांचाल योद्धा और युद्धमें सत्यप्रतिज्ञ वासुदेव श्रीकृष्णसे सुरक्षित कुन्तीपुत्र निश्चय ही मेरे पुत्रोंकी सेनाको भस्म कर डालेंगे
drau padyās taṃ parikleśaṃ na kṣaṃsyete tvam arṣiṇau | vṛṣṇayo 'tha maheṣvāsāḥ pāñcālā vā mahaujasaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “Those who are intolerant of insult will never forgive the suffering inflicted upon Draupadī. The Vṛṣṇis—mighty archers—and the Pāñcālas of great prowess will not let it pass. Protected by Vāsudeva Kṛṣṇa, the sons of Kuntī will surely reduce my sons’ army to ashes.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Wrongdoing—especially humiliation and injustice toward the vulnerable—creates inevitable consequences. The verse frames moral outrage as a force that binds allies (Vṛṣṇis and Pāñcālas) and makes retribution in war appear unavoidable when dharma is violated.
Vaiśampāyana reports a warning/foreboding: Draupadī’s suffering will not be forgiven. The powerful allies of the Pāṇḍavas—Kṛṣṇa’s Vṛṣṇis and Draupadī’s Pāñcālas—together with the Pāṇḍavas under Kṛṣṇa’s protection, are expected to destroy the opposing army (the speaker’s sons, i.e., the Kauravas, implied).
