हि >> आय ० () हि २ 7 पञठ्चमो<ध्याय: पाण्डवोंका काम्यकवनमें प्रवेश और विदुरजीका वहाँ जाकर उनसे मिलना और बातचीत करना वैशम्पायन उवाच पाण्डवास्तु वने वासमुद्दिश्य भरतर्षभा: । प्रययुर्जाह्नवीकूलात्‌ कुरुक्षेत्र सहानुगा:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! भरतवंश-शिरोमणि पाण्डव वनवासके लिये गंगाजीके तटसे अपने साथियोंसहित कुरक्षेत्रमें गये

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | Pāṇḍavās tu vane vāsam uddiśya bharatarṣabhāḥ | prayayur jāhnavī-kūlāt kuru-kṣetraṃ sahānugāḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O best of the Bharatas, the Pāṇḍavas—intending to undertake their forest exile—set out from the bank of the Jāhnavī (Gaṅgā) and proceeded to Kurukṣetra, accompanied by their followers.”
