Vaiśampāyana said: “By him (Śrī Hari) our great objective can indeed be accomplished, O best of twice-born. And by Pārtha (Arjuna) too our purpose may be fulfilled. If Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna come together in a great war, then united they can accomplish even the greatest undertaking—of this there is no doubt.”
The verse stresses that great aims are achieved through the convergence of divine support (Śrī Hari) and capable human effort (Arjuna). When righteous power and skill unite, even the hardest duty can be accomplished without doubt.
Vaiśampāyana reassures a brāhmaṇa listener that the community’s major objective can be fulfilled—either through the Lord’s power or through Arjuna’s prowess—and that if Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna unite in the coming great conflict, success in the greatest undertaking is certain.
