Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Sañjaya on Arjuna’s Indraloka report and the political consequences

yathā kuntī mahābhāgā yathendrāṇī śacī mama | tathā tvam api kalyāṇi nātra kāryā vicāraṇā ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “Just as the noble Kuntī is to me, and just as Indra’s queen Śacī is, so too are you, auspicious lady. On this matter, you should not entertain any doubt or second thought.”

Educational Q&A

The speaker offers moral reassurance: a virtuous woman should be treated with the same honor and trust as revered exemplars (Kuntī and Śacī), and she should not be made to feel uncertainty about her standing.

Within Vaiśampāyana’s narration, a character is being consoled and affirmed—told that she holds an esteemed, unquestionable place comparable to celebrated women, and that no further doubt or deliberation is needed.
