त्वत्कृते5हं सुरेशेन प्रेषितो वरवर्णिनि । प्रियं कुरु महेन्द्रस्य मम चैवात्मनश्व ह,“वरवर्णिनि! देवेश्वर इन्द्रने तुम्हारे लिये एक संदेश देकर मुझे भेजा है। तुम उसे सुनकर महेन्द्रका, मेरा तथा मुझसे अपना भी प्रिय कार्य करो”

tvatkṛte'haṃ sureśena preṣito varavarṇini | priyaṃ kuru mahendrasya mama caivātmanaś ca ha ||

Arjuna said: “For your sake, O fair-complexioned lady, I have been sent by the lord of the gods. Hear the message and do what is pleasing to great Indra, to me, and also to your own true self.”
