Arjuna said: “Among the assemblies of great seers, among the foremost royal sages, among the Siddhas, the Cāraṇas, the Yakṣas, and even among the hosts of mighty serpents…”

The verse evokes a moral universe where dharma is recognized across all orders of beings—human sages and kings as well as celestial and semi-divine communities—suggesting that true excellence (pravaratva) is measured by spiritual attainment and righteous conduct, not merely by power or birth.
Arjuna is speaking and enumerating various exalted assemblies—great seers, royal sages, and celestial classes like Siddhas, Cāraṇas, Yakṣas, and mighty serpent hosts—setting a grand, otherworldly frame for what he is describing or witnessing, emphasizing the breadth of the audience or realm involved.
