मधुपिज्ी महाबाहु: कम्बुग्रीवो हसन्निव । अड्दी बद्धमुकुटो दिश: प्रज्वालयन्निव,उनकी अंगकान्ति मधुके समान पिंगलवर्णकी थी। भुजाएँ बड़ी-बड़ी और ग्रीवा शंखके समान थी। वे हँसते हुए-से जान पड़ते थे। उनकी भुजाओंमें अंगद (बाजूबंद) चमक रहे थे और मस्तकपर बँधा हुआ मुकुट शोभा पाता था। वे सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंको प्रज्वलित-सी कर रहे थे

Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: madhupiṅgī mahābāhuḥ kambugrīvo hasann iva | aṅgadair bhāsamāno ’sau baddhamukuṭaḥ śriyānvitaḥ | diśaḥ prajvālayann iva ||

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: He was honey-golden in complexion, broad-armed, and with a neck like a conch; he seemed as though smiling. Armlets flashed upon his mighty arms, and a crown bound upon his head enhanced his splendor. By his radiance he appeared to set all the directions ablaze—an image of auspicious majesty and overwhelming presence.
