कुन्त्युवाच गम्यतां भगवंस्तत्र यत एवागतो हासि । कौतूहलात् समाहूत: प्रसीद भगवन्निति,कुन्ती बोली--भगवन्! आप जहाँसे आये हैं वहीं पधारिये। मैंने आपको कौतूहलवश ही बुलाया था। प्रभो! प्रसन्न होइये
kuntī uvāca—gamyatāṃ bhagavaṃs tatra yata evāgato hāsi | kautūhalāt samāhūtaḥ prasīda bhagavann iti ||
Kuntī said: “Venerable sir, please return to the very place from which you came. I summoned you only out of curiosity; be gracious and forgive me, O revered one.”
वैशग्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights ethical restraint and humility: one should not trouble revered persons for mere curiosity, and when one realizes a lapse, one should promptly seek forgiveness with respectful speech.
Kuntī addresses a venerable holy person she had called. Realizing she summoned him only out of curiosity, she asks him to return to where he came from and requests his gracious pardon.
