Sāvitrī said: “Father, you should not grieve. I shall carry this vow through to completion. This undertaking has been begun through firm resolve, and it is resolve that becomes the true cause for successfully sustaining a vow.”
इुमत्सेन उवाच
A vow (vrata) is sustained and completed primarily through steadfast determination (vyavasāya); emotional distress should not derail righteous resolve.
Sāvitrī reassures her father Dyumatsena, asking him not to worry, and declares that she will complete the vow she has undertaken, emphasizing that firm resolve is the key to its fulfillment.
