वच्ुयावृचतु: व्रतं यथोपदिष्ट॑ तु तथा तत् पारितं॑ त्वया । आहारकाल: सम्प्राप्त: क्रियतां यदनन्तरम्,सास-ससुर बोले--बेटी! तुमने शास्त्रके उपदेशके अनुसार अपना व्रत पूरा कर लिया है, अब पारण करनेका समय हो गया है। अतः जो कर्तव्य है, वह करो
Markaṇḍeya uvāca: vadhūyā avocatuḥ—vrataṃ yathopadiṣṭaṃ tu tathā tat pāritaṃ tvayā | āhāra-kālaḥ samprāptaḥ; kriyatāṃ yad anantaram ||
Markandeya said: The mother-in-law and father-in-law spoke to the young bride, “You have completed your vow exactly as the scriptures prescribed. Now the proper time for taking food has arrived; therefore perform what comes next—break the fast in the rightful manner.” The moment underscores that discipline is not merely austerity, but also timely, rule-bound completion of a vow without excess or negligence.
