एवमस्त्विति सावित्री ध्यानयोगपरायणा । मनसा ता गिर: सर्वा प्रत्यगृह्नात्‌ तपस्विनाम्‌,सावित्रीने ध्यानयोगमें स्थित हो तपस्वियोंकी उस आशीर्वादमयी वाणीको “एवमस्तु (ऐसा ही हो)! कहकर मन-ही-मन शिरोधार्य किया

evam astv iti sāvitrī dhyānayogaparāyaṇā | manasā tā giraḥ sarvā pratyagṛhṇāt tapasvinām ||

Markandeya said: “So be it,” Savitri—steadfast in the discipline of meditation—accepted in her heart all those blessing-laden words spoken by the ascetics, taking them as an inward vow and sacred assurance.
