Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic steadfastness: completing one’s undertaken course without deviation, returning with due regard for the path, the vow, and the companions who enabled success—an ethical image of responsibility and restoration after hardship.

Mārkaṇḍeya narrates that Rāma departs for his own capital, proceeding toward Ayodhyā by the same route he had previously traveled, with companions such as Lakṣmaṇa and Sugrīva accompanying him.
