ततो हत्वा दशग्रीवं लड़कां रामो महायशा: । विभीषणाय प्रददौ प्रभु: परपुरज्जय:,तत्पश्चात्‌ शत्रुओंकी राजधानीपर विजय पानेवाले महायशस्वी भगवान्‌ श्रीरामने दशानन रावणका वध करनेके अनन्तर लंकाका राज्य विभीषणको दे दिया

Transliteration

tato hatvā daśagrīvaṁ laṅkāṁ rāmo mahāyaśāḥ | vibhīṣaṇāya pradadau prabhuḥ parapurañjayaḥ |

Translation

Then the illustrious Rāma, the mighty lord and conqueror of hostile cities, having slain Daśagrīva (Rāvaṇa), bestowed Laṅkā and its sovereignty upon Vibhīṣaṇa. The act underscores a dharmic conclusion to war: victory is not for plunder, but for restoring rightful order and honoring the righteous ally.
