Adhiratha-Rādhā Discover the Casket; Vasuṣeṇa (Karṇa) is Adopted and Formed

शत्रुरेष त्वया वीर देवगन्धर्वभोगिनाम्‌ | यक्षाणां दानवानां च महर्षीणां च पातित:,वीरवर! यह रावण देवता, गन्धर्व, नाग, यक्ष, दानव तथा महर्षियोंका भी शत्रु था। इसे तुमने मार गिराया है

śatrur eṣa tvayā vīra devagandharvabhoginām | yakṣāṇāṁ dānavānāṁ ca maharṣīṇāṁ ca pātitaḥ ||

Varuṇa said: “O hero, this one was an enemy of the gods, the Gandharvas, the Nāgas, the Yakṣas, the Dānavas, and even the great seers. You have now struck him down.”
