Karṇa–Sūrya Saṃvāda: Satya, Dāna, and the Amoghā Śakti (कर्ण–सूर्यसंवादः)

विभीषणर्क्षाधिपती पुरस्कृत्याथ लक्ष्मण: । दक्षिणं नगरद्वारमवामृद्नाद्‌ दुरासदम्‌,नगरके दक्षिण द्वारमें प्रवेश करना बहुत कठिन था, परंतु लक्ष्मणने विभीषण और जाम्बवानको आगे करके उसे भी धूलमें मिला दिया

vibhīṣaṇarkṣādhipatī puraskṛtyātha lakṣmaṇaḥ | dakṣiṇaṃ nagaradvāram avāmṛdnād durāsadam ||

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then Lakṣmaṇa, placing Vibhīṣaṇa and the lord of the bears (Jāmbavān) in the forefront, crushed down the southern gate of the city—an approach that was otherwise exceedingly hard to assail. The episode underscores disciplined leadership: the warrior advances by honoring capable allies and choosing the most effective formation to overcome a fortified obstacle.
