Angada conveys Rāma’s message to Rāvaṇa: “O King, the illustrious Rāghava—Rāma, lord of Kosala—addresses you. This is a timely counsel; accept these words and act accordingly, O King.” The verse frames the embassy as ethical admonition: before force is used, the righteous party offers a fitting opportunity for wise choice and restraint.

Angada, as an envoy, delivers Rāma’s message to Rāvaṇa, urging him to heed a timely warning and take the proper course of action.
