Chapter 270: Slaying of Prahasta; Defeat of Dhūmrākṣa; Awakening of Kumbhakarṇa
निहत्य सर्वान् द्विषतः समग्रान् पार्था: समेष्यन्त्यथ याज्ञसेन्या । 'भीरु! तू महारानी द्रौपदीके लिये शोक न कर। तू समझ ले कि अभी वे पुनः यहाँ आ जायँगी। कुन्तीके पुत्र अपने समस्त शत्रुओंका संहार करके ट्रुपदकुमारीसे अवश्य मिलेंगे!
nihātya sarvān dviṣataḥ samagrān pārthāḥ sameṣyanty atha yājñasenyā | bhīru tvaṁ mahārāṇī draupadī-kṛte śokaṁ na kuru | tvaṁ budhyasva yathā sā adya punar iha āgamiṣyati | kuntī-putrāḥ sva-samasta-śatrūn saṁhatya drupada-kumārīṁ niyataṁ sameṣyanti ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “After slaying all their enemies without remainder, the sons of Pṛthā will surely reunite with Yājñasenī. O timid queen, do not grieve for Draupadī. Understand that she will return here again. Kuntī’s sons, having destroyed all their foes, will certainly meet again with the daughter of Drupada.”
