Shloka 26

Daśagrīva-boonāvaraṇa, Viṣṇv-avatāra-niyoga, Vānara-sahāya-janana, Mantharā-nirmāṇa

शुभानुशयबुद्धिह्हि संयुक्त: कालधर्मणा । प्रादुर्भवति तद्योगात्‌ कल्याणमतिरेव स:,“जिसकी बुद्धि शुभमें ही आसक्त होती है, वह मनुष्य मृत्युको प्राप्त होनेपर उस शुभके संयोगसे कल्याणबुद्धि होकर ही उत्पन्न होता है”

śubhānuśayabuddhir hi saṁyuktaḥ kāladharmaṇā | prādurbhavati tad-yogāt kalyāṇamatir eva saḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: One whose mind is habitually inclined toward the good, when joined with the law of time (i.e., at the moment of death), is reborn through that very association with a wholesome and auspicious disposition. The ethical force of one’s settled tendencies thus carries forward beyond death into the next arising of consciousness.
