Draupadī said: “Friend, I shall tell you a path—free from delusion and deceit—by which a husband’s mind may be won. If you live upon this course rightly, you will surely draw your husband back to yourself, away from other women.”

Educational Q&A

Draupadī teaches that a wife should rely on a straightforward, dharmic course—free from deception—to win and steady her husband’s affection; ethical conduct and proper behavior are presented as the legitimate means of influence.

In the Vana Parva discourse on pativratā conduct, Draupadī begins instructing a female companion, promising to explain a method for attracting a husband’s mind and drawing it away from rival women, grounded in correct and honest practice.
