Citrasena and the Kaurava engagement

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having been duly worshipped and praised, the Lord Skanda also consoled those divine hosts. Surrounded by the assembled multitudes of beings, he received the armies of the gods near him, reassured them, and in turn was honored and extolled by them—showing the leader’s duty to steady the fearful and accept reverence without pride.
