येतुतंसंश्रिता देवं नानावर्णास्तदा जना: | तानप्याहु: पारिषदान् ब्राह्मणा: सुमहाबलान्,उस समय जिन-जिन नाना वर्णवाले जीवोंने उन स्कन्ददेवकी शरण ली, उन सबको ब्राह्मणोंने उनका महाबलवान् पार्षद बताया है
ye tu taṁ saṁśritā devaṁ nānāvarṇās tadā janāḥ | tān apy āhuḥ pāriṣadān brāhmaṇāḥ sumahābalān ||
Markandeya said: “At that time, whatever beings of diverse appearances took refuge in that divine Lord (Skanda), the Brahmins also declared them to be his attendants—mighty members of his retinue.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Those who sincerely take refuge in the divine are accepted and elevated; even beings of diverse forms become recognized as part of the deity’s honored retinue.
Mārkaṇḍeya reports that various beings, described as of many kinds, sought Skanda’s protection, and learned Brahmins identified them as Skanda’s powerful attendants (pāriṣadas).
