अग्निवंशवर्णनम् (Agni-vaṃśa-varṇana) / The Genealogy and Function of Agni

इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वमें ब्राह्मणमाहात्म्यविषयक दो सौ दसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate vanaparvake antargata mārkaṇḍeyasamāsyāparvame brāhmaṇamāhātmyaviṣayaka dviśata-daśamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ

Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Vana Parva—specifically in the Markandeya Samasya sub-section—the two hundred and tenth chapter, dealing with the greatness and sanctity of the brāhmaṇa, is concluded. The line functions as a formal colophon, marking the end of a teaching-centered unit that underscores ethical conduct and reverence for spiritual discipline.

Educational Q&A

As a colophon, the line does not add new instruction; it signals that the preceding unit’s teaching centers on brāhmaṇa-māhātmya—upholding dharma through respect for learning, restraint, and spiritual authority.

The narrator/editorial voice closes the chapter, identifying its placement in Vana Parva and its topic, and formally marking the end of the adhyāya.
