Dharma-vyādha’s Analysis of Moral Decline and the Mahābhūta–Guṇa Schema (धर्मव्याधोपदेशः)
साधुसज्भरमपूतेन वाक्सुभाषितवारिणा | पवित्रीकृतमात्मानं सन््तो मन्यन्ति नित्यश:,सत्संगसे पवित्र किये हुए वाणीके सुन्दर सम्भाषणरूप जलसे अभिकषिक्त श्रेष्ठ पुरुष अपनेको सदा पवित्र हुआ मानते हैं
sādhu-saṅbhāram apūtena vāk-subhāṣita-vāriṇā | pavitrīkṛtam ātmānaṃ santaḥ manyante nityaśaḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira said: “By the pure water of well-spoken words—speech that is free from taint and enriched by the company of the good—noble people feel their inner self has been cleansed. Thus, through constant association with the virtuous and refined conversation, they regard themselves as continually purified.”
युधिछिर उवाच
Association with the virtuous and listening to (or speaking) well-formed, pure words functions like cleansing water: it purifies one’s inner self and sustains moral clarity.
Yudhiṣṭhira is articulating a dharma-centered reflection: he explains how the company of good people and their refined conversation continually purify a person, framing ethical growth as something nurtured through sat-saṅga and disciplined speech.
