Dharma-vyādha’s Analysis of Moral Decline and the Mahābhūta–Guṇa Schema (धर्मव्याधोपदेशः)

sa tena karmaṇā prāpnoti prajāpati-salokatām |

Mārkaṇḍeya said: By that meritorious act, one attains residence in the same world as Prajāpati. The teaching emphasizes that offering well-prepared food—according to one’s capacity—to brāhmaṇas bears a spiritually elevating result, linking ethical generosity and reverent hospitality with higher posthumous attainments.

Educational Q&A

That sincere giving—especially offering properly prepared food to brāhmaṇas according to one’s means—creates puṇya whose fruit is exalted posthumous attainment, described here as reaching Prajāpati’s realm (salokya).

Mārkaṇḍeya is instructing the listener about the spiritual result of a specific dharmic act: charitable food-offering. He states the consequence in concise karmic terms—such a deed leads to residence in Prajāpati’s world.
