इन्द्रद्युम्नोपाख्यानम्
Indradyumna Upākhyāna: On Kīrti, Smṛti, and Restoration
स चेम॑ संकुलं लोकं प्रसादमुपनेष्यति । उत्थितो ब्राह्मणो दीप्त: क्षयान्तकृदुदारधी:,वह उदारबुद्धि, तेजस्वी ब्राह्मण, दुःखसे व्याप्त हुए इस जगत्को आनन्द प्रदान करेगा। कलियुगका अन्त करनेके लिये ही उसका प्रादुर्भाव होगा
sa cemaṁ saṅkulaṁ lokaṁ prasādam upaneṣyati | utthito brāhmaṇo dīptaḥ kṣayāntakṛd udāradhīḥ ||
And he will bring solace and clarity to this world, now fallen into turmoil. Rising forth as a radiant brahmin—noble in intellect and intent—he will become the agent who brings an end to the age’s decline, appearing precisely to terminate Kali’s oppressive course and restore well-being.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Even when society becomes morally and socially entangled (saṅkula), dharma is not abandoned: a righteous, spiritually luminous agent can arise to restore peace (prasāda) and curb the forces of decline.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes a future emergence of a radiant brahmin-like figure who will bring solace to a distressed world and act as the means for ending the degenerative phase associated with Kali.
