अतसीपुष्पवर्णा भ: श्रीवत्सकृतभूषण: । साक्षाल्लक्ष्म्या इवावास: स तदा प्रतिभाति मे,उसकी अंगकान्ति अलसीके फूलकी भाँति श्याम थी। उसका वक्ष:स्थल श्रीवत्सचिह्नसे विभूषित था। वह उस समय मुझे साक्षात्‌ लक्ष्मीका निवासस्थान-सा प्रतीत होता था

Transliteration

atāsīpuṣpavarṇābhaḥ śrīvatsakṛtabhūṣaṇaḥ | sākṣāllakṣmyā ivāvāsaḥ sa tadā pratibhāti me ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “His bodily radiance appeared dark-blue, like the hue of the flax flower. His chest was adorned with the Śrīvatsa mark. At that moment, he seemed to me like the very dwelling-place of Lakṣmī herself.”
