Vaiśampāyana said: “O brāhmaṇa, you yourself are the proof of what has been accomplished—again and again—by you. Entering into terrible austerity, you have conquered even the ‘Creator’ powers (the Prajāpatis) through your tapas.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse elevates tapas (disciplined austerity) as a force that can surpass even cosmic creative authorities; lived attainment becomes its own ‘proof’ (svapramāṇa), emphasizing experiential authority and self-mastery.
Vaiśampāyana praises a brāhmaṇa-sage, stating that the sage’s repeated accomplishments are self-evident and that through severe austerities he has overcome even the powers associated with the Creator and the progenitor figures (Prajāpatis).
