Educational Q&A

The verse highlights ideal leadership and virtue through epithets for Kṛṣṇa—self-mastery (vaśī) and noble intelligence (udāradhī). Power is framed as disciplined and ethically grounded, not merely force.

A brāhmaṇa, described as a close friend of Arjuna, announces that Kṛṣṇa (Śauri), famed for strength and self-control, is about to arrive—setting up Kṛṣṇa’s supportive role during the Pāṇḍavas’ forest exile.
