Vaiśampāyana said: “O Kṛṣṇe, just as Raukmineya (Pradyumna) serves as the trainer and guide for Aniruddha, Abhimanyu, Sunītha, and Bhānu, so too is he the instructor and protector for your sons as well.”

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the dharmic ideal of responsible mentorship: a capable elder (Pradyumna) should not only teach skills but also serve as a steady guide and protector for the younger generation.

Vaiśampāyana reassures/addressingly states to Kṛṣṇe that Pradyumna, famed as Rukmiṇī’s son, functions as instructor and dependable support—just as he trains certain noted youths, he likewise trains and safeguards her sons.
