हिरण्यपुरवर्णन–रौद्रास्त्रप्रयोगः

इति श्रीमहा भारते वनपर्वणि निवातकवचयुद्धपर्वणि युद्धारम्भे एकोनसप्तत्यधिकशततमो< ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत निवातकवचयुद्धपर्वमें युद्धारम्भविषयक एक सौ उनहत्तरवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi nivātakavacayuddhaparvaṇi yuddhārambhe ekonasaptatyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |

Translation

Thus ends, in the revered Mahābhārata, within the Vana Parva, in the section concerning the battle with the Nivātakavacas, the one-hundred-and-sixty-ninth chapter describing the commencement of the war. (This is a colophon marking the close of the chapter rather than a spoken verse.)
