एतस्मिन्नेव काले तु कुबेरो नरवाहन: । दर्शयामास मां राजॉललक्ष्म्या परमया युत:,राजन! इसी समय सर्वोत्वृष्ट ऐश्वर्य--लक्ष्मीसे सम्पन्न नरवाहन कुबेरने भी मुझे दर्शन दिया
etasminneva kāle tu kuberaḥ naravāhanaḥ | darśayāmāsa māṃ rājan lakṣmyā paramayā yutaḥ ||
Arjuna said: “At that very time, O King, Kubera—he whose vehicle is men—appeared before me, endowed with supreme splendor and prosperity.”
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights the epic motif that divine powers reveal themselves at decisive moments; prosperity and authority (lakṣmī) are portrayed as attributes that can accompany righteous or destined encounters, reminding the listener that worldly power is ultimately under higher, divine governance.
Arjuna reports to the king that, at that very moment, Kubera appeared before him in a radiant, prosperous form—an auspicious divine visitation within the forest-episode narrative of the Vana Parva.
