“In the same way, through my conduct and through the steadiness of my concentrated mind, all the gods—together with Indra—were greatly pleased with me. Then that doer of stainless deeds (Arjuna), having briefly related to them the account of his sojourn in heaven, lay down to rest in that hermitage, free from anxiety, along with Nakula and Sahadeva.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that ethical conduct (śīla) and steady mental concentration (samādhi) win divine approval; purity of action (viśuddha-karmā) is presented as the basis for honor, trust, and inner peace.
Vaiśampāyana reports that Arjuna, whose heavenly stay had pleased Indra and the gods due to his character and discipline, briefly recounts his celestial experiences and then rests in the hermitage together with Nakula and Sahadeva.
