कुबेरसदन दृष्ट्वा राक्षसांश्व निपातितान् । भ्राता भ्रातरमासीनमत्रवीत् पृथिवीपति:,राजा युधिष्ठिरने कुबेरका भवन देखकर और मारे गये राक्षसोंकी ओर दृष्टिपात करके अपने पास बैठे हुए भाई भीमसेनसे कहा
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Kuberasadanaṃ dṛṣṭvā rākṣasāṃś ca nipātitān | bhrātā bhrātaram āsīnam atravīt pṛthivīpatiḥ, rājā Yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Seeing Kubera’s dwelling and also the rākṣasas who had been struck down, the lord of the earth—King Yudhiṣṭhira—addressed his brother Bhīmasena, who was seated nearby. The scene underscores a dharmic ruler’s reflective response to violence: even when force has been used, the king pauses to observe the consequences and then speaks with deliberation to his kin.
