विरराम महातेजास्तमेवार्थ विचिन्तयन्‌ । वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! धर्मात्मा भाई महातेजस्वी कुन्तीपुत्र युधिष्ठिर अर्थतत्त्वके विभागको ठीक-ठीक जाननेवाले थे। वे धर्मसे कभी च्युत न होनेवाले अपने भाई भीमसेनसे उपर्युक्त बातें कहकर चुप हो गये और उसी विषयपर बार-बार विचार करने लगे

Transliteration

virarāma mahātejās tam evārthaṁ vicintayan |

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: The mighty one fell silent, continuing to ponder that very matter. Having spoken these points to his brother Bhīmasena, the dharma-minded Yudhiṣṭhira—one who understood the proper distinctions in the principles of artha—ceased speaking and repeatedly reflected on the same theme, steadfast in dharma and not swerving from it.
