Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
सो<न्तरिक्षमवप्लुत्य विधूय सहसा गदाम्,महाबाहु भीमने युद्धके मुहानेपर गर्जना करते हुए सहसा आकाशमें उछलकर गदा घुमायी और उसे वायुके समान वेगसे मणिमानपर दे मारा, मानो देवराज इन्द्रने किसी दैत्यपर वज्रका प्रहार किया हो
so 'ntarikṣam avaplutya vidhūya sahasā gadām | mahābāhur bhīmaseno yuddhake mukhāne 'par garjanāṃ kurvan sahasā ākāśam utplutya gadāṃ ghumāyitvā tāṃ vāyusama-vegataḥ maṇimān prati prāhiṇot, yathā devarāja indro daitye vajraṃ nipātayet ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Then mighty-armed Bhīmasena, roaring at the very front of the battle, suddenly sprang up into the sky. Whirling his mace, he hurled it at Maṇimān with the speed of the wind—like Indra, king of the gods, striking a demon with his thunderbolt. The scene underscores Bhīma’s fierce resolve in righteous combat and the epic’s recurring image of divine justice mirrored in human warfare.
