Vaiśampāyana said: The Yakṣas, their bodies grotesquely deformed, were tormented by fear of Bhīmasena. Casting their massive weapons away in all directions, they raised a dreadful cry of anguish—showing how sheer moral and physical force can break the will of aggressors and turn violence back into panic and disorder.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When violence is driven by arrogance or intimidation, it can collapse instantly in the face of superior courage and strength; fear scatters even those who appear formidable, reminding that true power includes steadiness of mind and adherence to rightful conduct.
The Yakṣas, described as hideous and deformed, become terrified of Bhīma. Overcome by fear, they throw away their heavy weapons and cry out in distress, indicating a rout or sudden breakdown of their resistance.
