The episode underscores that sheer physical power has limits, and that certain burdens cannot be mastered by force alone.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the limits of brute strength: even the mightiest hero can meet an obstacle that cannot be overcome by force alone, encouraging humility and discernment about appropriate means.
The narrator describes a renewed attempt to hoist something heavy or formidable; it rises impressively—likened to Indra’s rainbow—yet Bhīma, despite his famed power, still cannot fully lift it.
