Vaiśampāyana said: Then Bhīmasena, the subduer of foes, seeking those flowers, cast his gaze all around upon that vast mountain—frequented and attended by Yakṣas, Gandharvas, gods, and companies of Brahmarṣis. The scene underscores a sacred landscape where desire is restrained by reverence, and strength is guided by purpose rather than pride.

Educational Q&A

Even a powerful hero should act with restraint and reverence in sacred spaces; strength is meant to serve a purposeful aim (here, the quest for flowers) rather than ego or aggression.

Bhīma, intent on obtaining the desired flowers, surveys a great mountain that is inhabited and honored by celestial and semi-divine beings—signaling that his quest is entering a holy, guarded realm.
