द्रौपदीका भीमसेनको सौगन्धिक पुष्प भेंट करके वैसे ही और पुष्प लानेका आग्रह ततः पूर्वोत्तरे वायु: प्लवमानो यदृच्छया । सहस्रपत्रमर्काभं दिव्यं पद्ममुपाहरत्,तदनन्तर ईशानकोणकी ओरसे अकस्मात् वायु चली। उसने सूर्यके समान तेजस्वी एक दिव्य सहस्रदल कमल लाकर वहाँ डाल दिया
tataḥ pūrvottare vāyuḥ plavamāno yadṛcchayā | sahasrapatram arkābhaṃ divyaṃ padmam upāharat ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Then, by chance, a wind drifting from the northeast brought and set down there a divine lotus of a thousand petals, radiant like the sun. In the unfolding of Draupadī’s desire for the fragrant flowers, nature itself seems to respond—hinting at the power of longing and resolve, while also foreshadowing how such desires can propel one into perilous, dharma-testing quests.
