व्यपेतभयसम्मोह: शैलमभ्यपतद् बली । स ते ट्रुमलतागुल्मच्छन्नं नीलशिलातलम्,द्रौपदीका प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे अपने बाहुबलका भरोसा करके भय और मोहसे रहित बलवान् भीमसेन सामनेके शैल-शिखरपर चढ़ गये। वह पर्वत वृक्षों, लताओं और झाड़ियोंसे आच्छादित था। उसकी शिलाएँ नीले रंगकी थीं। वहाँ किन्नरलोग भ्रमण करते थे। शत्रुसंहारी भीमसेन उस सुन्दर पर्वतपर विचरने लगे। बहुरंगे धातुओं, वृक्षों, मृगों और पक्षियोंसे उसकी विचित्र शोभा हो रही थी

Vaiśampāyana said: Free from fear and delusion, the mighty Bhīmasena sprang up onto the mountain. Its rocky ground, dark-blue in hue, was covered with trees, creepers, and thickets. Moved by his wish to please Draupadī and trusting in the strength of his own arms, the foe-destroying Bhīma ranged upon that beautiful height, whose varied splendor was enhanced by many-colored minerals, forests, deer, and birds, and where Kinnaras were said to wander.
