तत्रापश्यत धर्मात्मा देवदेवर्षिपूजितम् । नरनारायणस्थानं भागीरथ्योपशोभितम्,धर्मात्मा युधिष्ठिरने वहाँ भगवान् नर-नारायणका स्थान देखा, जो देवताओं और देवर्षियोंसे पूजित तथा भागीरथी- गंगासे सुशोभित था
tatrāpaśyata dharmātmā devadevarṣipūjitam | naranārāyaṇasthānaṃ bhāgīrathyopaśobhitam ||
There the righteous one beheld the sacred abode of Nara and Nārāyaṇa—revered by the gods and the divine seers—made resplendent by the presence of the Bhāgīrathī (Gaṅgā). The scene underscores how dharma is supported by sanctified places, divine reverence, and the purifying current of holy waters.
घटोत्कच उवाच
Dharma is strengthened by seeking and honoring sanctified spaces associated with divine austerity and revered by sages; the mention of Bhāgīrathī (Gaṅgā) highlights purification and moral renewal through contact with holy waters and holy company.
The righteous Yudhiṣṭhira arrives at and beholds the sacred abode of Nara and Nārāyaṇa, a site honored by gods and divine seers and beautified by the Gaṅgā, marking a significant moment in the Pāṇḍavas’ forest journey and pilgrimage.
