ब्रह्म भूतैर्महा भागैरुपेत॑ ब्रह्म॒वादिभि: । सो<भ्यगच्छन्महातेजास्तानृषीन्‌ प्रयत: शुचि:,वह शोभासम्पन्न आश्रम अवर्णनीय था। देवोचित कार्योंका अनुष्ठान उसकी शोभा बढ़ाता था। उस आश्रममें फल-मूल खाकर रहनेवाले, कृष्णमृगचर्मधारी, जितेन्द्रिय, अग्नि तथा सूर्यके समान तेजस्वी और तपःपूत अन्तःकरणवाले महर्षि, मोक्षपरायण, इन्द्रिय- संयमी संन्‍्यासी तथा महान्‌ सौभाग्यशाली ब्रह्मवादी ब्रह्मभूत महात्मा निवास करते थे। महातेजस्वी, बुद्धिमान धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिर पवित्र और एकाग्रचित्त होकर भाइयोंके साथ उन आश्रमवासी महर्षियोंके पास गये। युधिष्ठिरको आश्रममें आया देख वे दिव्यज्ञानसम्पन्न सब महर्षि अत्यन्त प्रसन्न होकर उनसे मिले और उन्हें अनेक प्रकारके आशीर्वाद देने लगे। सदा वेदोंके स्वाध्यायमें तत्पर रहनेवाले उन अग्नितुल्य तेजस्वी महात्माओंने प्रसन्न होकर युधिष्ठिरका विधिपूर्वक सत्कार किया और उनके लिये पवित्र फल-मूल, पुष्प और जल आदि सामग्री प्रस्तुत की

brahma bhūtair mahābhāgair upetaṁ brahmavādibhiḥ | so 'bhyagacchan mahātejās tān ṛṣīn prayataḥ śuciḥ ||
