Educational Q&A

The verse highlights a dharmic posture of responding to overwhelming events with respectful inquiry and seeking truthful explanation from a knowledgeable guide, rather than panic or rash action.

A sudden cosmic upheaval is perceived—described as the earth having sunk by a hundred yojanas and the world becoming agitated. Lomaśa urgently asks someone present to explain whose power is causing this and what the cause is, as the group feels faint and disoriented.
