Lomaśa said: “Yudhiṣṭhira, you have asked me about this account. Now hear from me, as I speak here, the entire narrative in full.”
लोगमश उवाच
The verse establishes the ethical frame of transmission: a worthy question is met with a complete and faithful telling, and the listener is enjoined to attentive hearing—an essential discipline in dharma-oriented learning.
Lomaśa responds to Yudhiṣṭhira’s inquiry by formally beginning his narration, promising to relate the entire account in full and asking Yudhiṣṭhira to listen.
